TCfR is celebrating today after being awarded £158,824 in funding from The National Lottery Community Fund, the largest funder of community activity in the UK. We will use this funding to work with diverse communities to tackle isolation, improve integration and social cohesion across Lincoln. We will continue to provide opportunities to meet and learn from each other, give exposure to and awareness of different cultures and communities and in turn improve people's physical and mental wellbeing. This new National Lottery funding will support our work for two years starting from June 2022. It will support people from BAME and diverse communities to come together through various activities including:

  • Chat Café – community café, 2nd Saturday of the month
  • Women of the World – internal women’s group – last Monday of the month
  • Little Friends of the World – baby and toddler group – Friday mornings in term time from September
  • Coffee Morning – last Saturday of the month

Everyone is welcome to attend all we do and to follow us on Facebook/Twitter/Instagram for updates. National Lottery players raise over £30 million a week for good causes across the UK. The National Lottery Community Fund distributes a share of this to projects to support people and communities to prosper and thrive. Subash Chellaiah, Founder and executive Director of TCfR said: “Thanks to National Lottery players, this grant means that we can continue the valuable work TCfR is doing and increase the support we are offering to people from diverse communities.  This will make a big difference to people’s lives.”
