Ghana Sankofa Party

Lincolnshire Ghana Union (LGU) is a community group that aims to bring people of Ghanaian origin who live, study or work in Lincolnshire together to engage in social, cultural, recreational, educational and charitable courses to improve the physical and mental health wellbeing of members. As we engage in these activities, we aim to integrate and network with other community groups in Lincolnshire and surrounding areas. We would like to welcome existing and new students and staff of Ghanaian origin at the University of Lincoln to join our group and be made to feel at home and get involved in our group activities while they study or work at the University of Lincoln. We are holding our first-anniversary celebration on Saturday, 24th September 2022, dubbed ‘Sankofa Party’ at the St Peter St Paul Church Hall, 2A Skellingthorpe Rd Lincoln LN6 7RD, from 1 pm. This event will be a good opportunity for us to welcome students and staff of Ghanian origin, as well as other students and staff from the Afro-Caribbean community, to Lincoln and to meet and network with members of LGU.
