Interfaith Week 2026 | Lighting the Way for a Shared Future

Saturday 14 November 2026 | 10:00 am–approximately 12 noon

Meeting point: Faizan-e-Madina Masjid & Islamic Centre, 2 Proctors Road, Lincoln LN2 4LA.

Finishing point: TCfR Interfaith Centre at Central Methodist Church, 123 High Street, Lincoln LN5 7PP.

Join us for a walk through Lincoln in the spirit of peace, friendship and togetherness. Along the way, we will pause for reflections, celebrating our different traditions and our shared hopes for a peaceful and compassionate world.

Our route:

  1. Faizan-e-Madina Masjid & Islamic Centre
  2. Lincoln Cathedral
  3. Jews’ Court
  4. St Hugh’s Catholic Church
  5. Quaker Meeting House
  6. The Salvation Army
  7. Lincoln Unitarian Chapel
  8. TCfR Interfaith Centre at Central Methodist Church

Please note: St Hugh’s Catholic Church comes before the Quaker Meeting House. This updates the order shown on the printed map.

We are allowing around two hours for walking, short reflections and road crossings. We aim to finish at approximately 12 noon, with refreshments and time for conversation.

Everyone is also warmly invited to stay for the Youth Spoken Word Event at 12:30 pm, featuring young people’s hopes and visions for a more peaceful, connected future.

People of all faiths and beliefs, including those with no faith, are warmly welcome.

Preparing for the walk:

  • Wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the November weather.
  • The route includes hills, including Steep Hill, and six signal-controlled road crossings.
  • For our visit to the mosque, we kindly ask ladies to bring a scarf to cover their heads. We can also provide one if needed.

Together, one step at a time, we can light the way towards a shared future.
