2024

At the AGM we thanked our Chair, Charles Shaw, for all his work and elected our new Chair Rev Steve Holt. Chat Café moved to its new location of Holy Cross Church Hall. At the start of the year we gave out 100 warm packs to families and individuals suffering from fuel poverty. The organisation was awarded a Mayoral Medal for the work we have been doing in the city. TCfR now has its presence in two locations in the city and greater area – the High Street and Cherry Willingham. Providing office space, space for meetings and to run sessions, green space for well being gardening and space to create a Multi-Faith Centre.

2023

Work continued to grow and flourish and the numbers of people we were interacting with, supporting and reaching was really great. The Hygiene Bank continued to grow and launched in four more locations. A weekly drop in and support session started – Cosy Crafters which has become a great success. Continuing our support for those suffering from the cost of living crisis we hosted warm spaces and we started the Blanket Bank. Many people across the city and wider area have enjoyed making handmade blankets that are given to those who are suffering from fuel poverty. In the winter we secured funding and provided food support to families and individuals struggling. A highlight of 2023 was the Spring Faith Festival – a Faith Exhibition, Faith Trial and Festival Day. An opportunity to bring people of different faiths together to raise awareness of faiths and for people to learn about them. At the exhibition we show cased the faith and diversity embroidery banner. Towards the end of the year we were awarded funding from the City of Lincoln Council and the Lincoln Community Lottery.

The website was fully updated. In the Autumn we launched the Lincoln Hygiene Bank as a response to the cost of living crisis. The first location was at the RCCG Victory Centre. Barefoot walk

January 2020, Subash did a 70 mile barefoot walk from the southern tip of India to the Little Elephant School that he founded in 2012. After walking for 70 miles he completed the journey by motorbike. This was to raise money for the school and TCfR and to raise awareness about the needs for all to work together and the need for quality education for all.

2015

The inspiration, for the founder and Executive Director, Subash Chellaiah, for setting up TCfR came after 15 years of interfaith work including rebuilding and bringing communities together after a major disaster in India, trauma counselling, community and peacebuilding work in Asia, and interfaith work in England, Lincoln, with setting up the Multi-Faith Chaplaincy and interfaith events. Subash was one of the key organisers of the Lincoln Faith Festival in 2017, an opportunity to show the diversity of Lincoln – celebrate this and come together to work together for a better community. In 2019 Subash won the Rotary International Peace Award for is humanitarian work in India, setting up the Muti-Faith Chaplaincy and interfaith work in the UK. What is going on in the world locally, nationally and globally Subash’s heart prompted him to set up TCfR in Lincoln and across the county of Lincolnshire to work on bringing communities together, promoting unity and celebrating diversity.
