The Centre for Reconciliation (TCfR)
Promoting Peace, Understanding, and Unity Across Communities

The Centre for Reconciliation (TCfR) is an interfaith organisation based in Lincoln, working across Lincolnshire and internationally, with a particular focus on South Asia, as well as other parts of Asia and Africa. We bring together religious, ethnic, and cultural communities to inspire individuals and groups to build a culture of peace—locally and globally. Our mission is to replace fear, prejudice, and division with mutual respect, understanding, and cooperation. We believe in the power of relationships to break down barriers and in the strength of shared human values to build lasting harmony.

  • - Support people to embrace and share their cultural identities

  • - Encourage integration while celebrating diversity

We are also working toward establishing a permanent, welcoming space in the heart of Lincoln—a safe hub for interfaith dialogue, community gathering, and cultural exchange.

Why TCfR?
When TCfR was founded, there was no organisation in Lincoln or Lincolnshire that truly reached out to all communities in a unified way. We saw the need—and we responded. We build on the great work already being done in our county, connecting faiths, cultures, and ethnicities under a single banner. We work closely with educational and civic institutions, formalising partnerships and helping provide a unified voice for reconciliation and cooperation.

Our Vision
  • - Minority communities feel confident and proud to be themselves
  • - People are empowered to learn from and share with their neighbours
  • - Differences are not just accepted, but celebrated
  • - Interfaith and intercultural understanding is the norm, not the exception
To help achieve this, we are also laying the foundations for the Lincolnshire Faith Council—a formal interfaith body to strengthen dialogue and collaboration across all faiths.
The Centre for Reconciliation is needed—now more than ever. We are building bridges no one else is building, creating spaces where everyone feels welcome, and leading work that celebrates difference while promoting unity.
