After years of searching, The Centre for Reconciliation (TCfR) is pleased to have secured a dedicated rented space at Central Methodist Church in Lincoln. Centrally located and well-maintained, the venue offers two rooms, a kitchen, hall, and toilets—an ideal setting for our growing activities.
The opportunity came through discussions with City of Lincoln Council staff, which led to a meeting with the church’s Minister. In September, we launched a hygiene session and Coffee and Chat event there, held twice monthly. During one of these sessions, Rev. Richard Mottershead, Superintendent of the Lincoln Circuit, kindly gave us a tour of the upstairs space, which soon became the focus of further discussions.
By the end of 2024, we reached an agreement to rent the space, with contracts signed in January. Since February, we’ve been painting, cleaning, setting up the office, and organising our hygiene stock—now all housed in one accessible and efficient location.
We’re also preparing to launch our Interfaith Library and Fairtrade Shop later this month.
If you have books, magazines, or journals to donate to the Interfaith Library, please get in touch. Donations can be dropped off at the Interfaith Centre, Central Methodist Church, Monday to Thursday, 10am–2pm.
