Lincoln, September 2026 — The Centre for Reconciliation (TCfR) is delighted to announce the appointment of Ruby Beall as its new Food Festival Coordinator, supporting an exciting programme that will use food, cooking and shared stories to bring together people from different cultures, faiths and communities across Lincoln and Lincolnshire.
Ruby brings experience in education, hospitality and project delivery, together with an academic background in History and Theology. She has also previously volunteered with TCfR and supported its international conference in Lincoln.
Working alongside TCfR, volunteers and community partners, Ruby will help coordinate a programme of community cooking activities leading towards Food Festivals in Spring 2027 and Spring 2028.
The project will reach out to ethnic, cultural and faith communities across the area, encouraging people to share recipes, traditions and the stories behind foods that are meaningful to them. Plans also include approximately eight cooking sessions and the development of a community recipe book, celebrating the diversity of Lincoln and Lincolnshire.

We are delighted to welcome Ruby to this role. This project is not simply about organising a food festival; it is about creating opportunities for people from different backgrounds to meet, participate and develop a stronger sense of community and belonging.”
The programme will also explore partnerships with community organisations, local businesses and supermarkets, alongside opportunities to promote affordable and nutritious cooking and food sustainability.
