A wonderful evening was held at the Guru Nanak Sikh Temple in Scunthorpe, where children, young people, parents, and community members of all ages came together to celebrate Bandi Chhor Divas and Diwali.

The event was filled with joy, reflection, and unity — featuring speeches, Kirtan, Shabad Bhajans, fireworks, and Langar, symbolising light, freedom, and togetherness.

On behalf of the Board and Members of The Centre for Reconciliation and the Lincolnshire Faith Council, we extend our warmest wishes to everyone in the Sikh and Hindu communities celebrating this special occasion.

Our sincere thanks go to Sewak Singh Nijjar, General Secretary of the Gurdwara, for his kind invitation and hospitality. It was truly inspiring to see how celebrations like these continue to bring our diverse communities together in friendship and harmony.
