We are proud to share that Pastor Vera Icheke, a valued member of our Board, has been honoured with the Driving Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Award in recognition of her outstanding contribution to promoting equality and inclusion.
Pastor Vera has made a powerful and enduring impact through her work on the ‘Policing Black Communities’ initiative, helping student officers and PCSOs develop a deeper understanding of the lived experiences of Black communities. Her sessions go beyond training — they are transformative, fostering empathy, awareness, and engagement across organisations.
Described as “thought-provoking and inspirational,” Pastor Vera brings honesty, vulnerability, and authenticity to her work, inspiring meaningful change and reflection. Her voluntary contribution has been recognised nationally as a case study for the Police Race Action Plan, showcasing her leadership and dedication to building a more inclusive culture.
