This evening, people of all faiths and none gathered in unity and reflection at Holy Cross Church, Lincoln, for the annual Multi-Faith Remembrance Day Service.

The service brought together a remarkable representation of Lincoln’s diverse communities, including members of the Hindu community, Jewish community, Muslim community, Anglican Church, Redeemed Christian Church of God, Orthodox Church, Evangelical Church of England, Zoto Zen, and the Temple of Grace, as well as individuals with no religious affiliation.

Also in attendance were members of the Army Cadet Force, the Deputy Police Commissioner, and local councillors, demonstrating strong civic support for this shared moment of remembrance.

Together, attendees stood in a powerful act of collective memory and hope — honouring those who gave their lives in the World Wars and in subsequent conflicts. Through shared prayers, wreath-laying, readings, and moments of silence, the service affirmed a shared commitment to peace, unity, and understanding across all communities.

The evening was a heartfelt reflection of Lincoln’s spirit — diverse, compassionate, and united in remembrance.

A sincere thank you to all who attended and contributed to this meaningful evening of reflection, remembrance, and reconciliation.
