The Centre for Reconciliation (TCfR) is excited to announce the launch of Peace Kitchen, a community-led initiative in Lincoln dedicated to bringing people together through food, inclusion, and shared values.

As part of this launch, Peace Kitchen is now recruiting volunteers for a range of roles that will help bring the project to life. Volunteers are invited to join a growing team committed to tackling isolation, building community cohesion, and creating a welcoming space for all — through the preparation and sharing of nutritious vegetarian meals.

Volunteer roles available include:

  • Kitchen Helpers (Preparation & Cooking).
  • Chefs (Vegetarian Meals).
  • Front of House & Service Support.
  • Set-up & Clear-up Support
  • Food Collection & Delivery
  • Volunteer Co-ordinator
  • Bookkeeper (Admin Support)

Whether you’re passionate about food, good with people, organised behind the scenes, or simply looking to give back to the community, there’s a role for you at Peace Kitchen.

All volunteers will receive appropriate training and a DBS check, which will be arranged and covered by TCfR.

Subash Chellaiah, Director of TCfR, said:“Peace Kitchen is more than a meal – it’s about hospitality, dignity, and community. We’re calling on people across Lincolnshire to get involved in whatever way they can to help make this initiative a success.”
