The Centre for Reconciliation (TCfR), a Lincolnshire-based organisation dedicated to building stronger, more connected communities, is proud to announce that it has won the Community Group Award at the BBC Radio Lincolnshire Make a Difference Awards, held on 17 September at The Drill in Lincoln.
This year’s awards saw a record number of nominations across Lincolnshire—more than in London and even across the whole of Scotland. TCfR was one of four finalists in the Community Group category, with each finalist showcased on the big screen before the winner was revealed.
When the drumroll ended, The Centre for Reconciliation was announced as the winner, recognising the organisation’s impact across Lincolnshire through initiatives such as the Hygiene Bank, Chat Café, Blanket Bank, and the new Taste of Unity kitchen.
Rev. Steve Holt, Chair of TCfR, said: “This is a truly wonderful accolade for all of the work undertaken throughout the year and a testament to the real need across Lincolnshire. It is also testament to the hard work and dedication of Subash and Ruth, who have driven forward TCfR’s mission. Quite rightly, Subash accepted the award on behalf of TCfR, but this is also an award for all of those who give their time, energy, and volunteer towards our important and valuable work. Thank you for your continued support.”
This award highlights the vital role TCfR plays in strengthening community cohesion and interfaith collaboration across Lincolnshire.
