The Centre for Reconciliation (TCfR) has built deep connections with India since 2012, when co-founders Ruth and Subash established a rural school in South India. Over the years, TCfR has supported educational projects in India and Sri Lanka, with funds raised locally in Lincoln helping to sustain this work.
In 2024, TCfR welcomed the Bishop of the Eastern Himalayas Diocese to Lincoln, reaffirming its commitment to international partnerships and Fairtrade. Building on these links, TCfR is now working with partners in India on a new initiative to strengthen reconciliation and community development.
A core group in India, including Ms. Arul Little Snita S and K. Ramasubbu MP, has begun shaping this work. Their focus will include supporting the Little Elephant School in Keeranur, while also developing future projects in inclusive education, neurodiversity awareness, elderly care, peacebuilding, and Fairtrade.
This emerging chapter reflects TCfR’s enduring values of compassion, collaboration, and a vision for lasting change.
