Cosy Crafters meets at the Lincoln Unitarian Chapel (377 High Street, Lincoln) every Wednesday, 11am to 1pm. We have free tea, coffee, and biscuits available, and you can walk in at any point during the session (and the Lincoln Hygiene Bank session that follows).

You can bring your own portable crafts, or you can try one of ours. Some of the crafts that we currently have are:
  • Knitting
  • Crochet
  • Embroidery
  • Cross Stitch
  • Sewing Machine
  • Adult Colouring
  • Diamond Painting
  • Air-Dry Clay
  • Needle felting
  • Watercolours and acrylic paints
  • Glass painting
For those who are interested in learning a new craft, we can provide workshops in crochet, embroidery, and cross-stitch. We can also learn other crafts together. We will be holding seasonal workshops throughout the year.

You can also attend Cosy Crafters even if you do not want to craft, and just want to chat with a friendly group of people. We provide free tea (regular, green, and fruit), coffee (regular and decaf), and juices, and a variety of biscuits (both normal and Free From).

Loneliness and social isolation have increased in the United Kingdom, especially in this post-Covid era. In total, 45% of adults feel occasionally, sometimes or often lonely in England. This equates to twenty-five million people.

Research has shown that crafting, regardless of the medium you use, doing crafts can bolster your mood, improve self-confidence, and reduce stress overall. In addition, crafting has also shown to improve mental agility, improves both gross and fine motor movements, and decrease cognitive decline.
