Faith and Diversity Embroidery
The Centre for Reconciliation (TCfR)and Lincolnshire Faith Council (LFC) funded by Western Power Distribution, will be working with people of all backgrounds to embroider a banner to celebrate and promote the wonderful, growing diversity in Lincolnshire. There will be monthly sewing sessions – where we will come together sew and enjoy each other’s company and help us to feel part of something, connected and less isolated and lonely. At these sessions you will be able to learn different embroidery stitches too. There will also be an opportunity to stitch at home while connecting with others. There will also be the opportunity to join an embroidery WhatsApp group and Facebook group to further connect with others and chat about what we are sewing.
There will be embroidery packs available for you. You can either pick it up at an embroidery session, pick one up from Witham House (Multifaith Chaplaincy) or one can be posted to you or delivered to your home. Anything you do not use must be returned to TCfR/LFC. They will contain:
The banner, when stitched together, will have the LFC logo at the centre. The banner will be revealed and displayed at our first Culture, Art, Diversity and Faith Festival in November.

- 8 by 8 inch square of fabric
- 6 inch embroidery hoop
- Embroidery scissors
- Up to 10 colours of DMC thread (you can select these colours)
- A Needle
- Water soluble paper
