On 14 August 2025, a core group connected with the Centre for Reconciliation (TCfR) met in Kanyakumari, the southernmost point of India, to inaugurate their future work and plans.

The gathering brought together Subash Chellaiah, Ms. Arul Little Snita S and K. Ramasubbu MP, alongside local leaders Suresh and Christine, family members, and friends from West Bengal. Together, they shared a vision for reconciliation, education, and social impact that will build on TCfR’s long-standing links with India.

At the event, the group presented their vision, mission, and objectives, reaffirming a commitment to education and community development. Their enthusiasm and passion for the future were clear, as they outlined plans for inclusive education, peace and reconciliation, neurodiversity awareness, elderly care, and Fairtrade initiatives.

A memorable highlight came when Anthony Das, visiting from West Bengal, reflected on Swami Vivekananda, who once meditated at Kanyakumari. He spoke of the parallels between Vivekananda’s mission to uplift the nation and the group’s vision, making the location deeply symbolic.

Board member Snita captured the spirit of the day, saying: “The energy and passion shown today have sparked the fire for the future.”

This inspiring gathering marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for TCfR’s partnership in India.
